How do people actually make money on EBay everything is so cheap?

Saturday, December 3rd, 2011

If you make money what are you selling and where do you get it for cheaper than you sell it? Give me some tips please. Thanks for being so sweet!!

Julie,

The real goal behind making money on Ebay is to find/sell those ‘items’ that a large consumer market are always ‘buying’, regardless of the market.

To find the ‘hot items’, for a lack of better words, that are sold month-after-month, check out these two (2) Ebay references:

* http://pulse.ebay.com

Here, you can find a LOT of GOOD information, such as what ‘categories’ on Ebay are hot and/or what the hot selling ‘items’ are as well.

* http://pages.ebay.com/sellercentral/hotitems.pdf

This second resource is a MONTHLY PDF File, composed and maintained by Ebay, which will tell you what categories/items have been consistent ‘hot items’ from month to month. While the PDF file will change with each passing month, the URL above WILL NOT! So, bookmark it and continue to review it every month.

The next thing to consider is finding ‘drop-shippers’ of some of these products. The benefit to having a ‘drop-shipper’ is that when your auction is over, you send the request to the drop-shipper, they then take over the ‘customer experience’ and will handle everything from shipping the product to the customer, dealing with charge-backs and most everything else you can think of that would be common place in any type of transaction.

Another key to being highly effective/successful with Ebay Auctions is understanding all the different types of ‘auctions’ there are and how each one can help increase your sales.

A great resource that I recently came across which outlines everything there is to know about ebay auctions and making money is found in an ebook I came across not to long ago and you can get a copy if you’re interested in taking your auctions from ‘somewhat profitable’ to ‘hugely profitable’. The link is here:

Remember though, nothing is ‘easy’ when it comes to making money on ebay. If it was, then everyone would be selling on ebay, but since we know that’s not happening, you CAN profit from these techniques!

Hope this helps?

Cheers,

Jack G.

How do people make money in eBay?

Thursday, October 20th, 2011

The real question is how do people make money on eBay when they are re-sellers and they sell the product for less than what the actual company sells it for? Because don’t they still have to buy the quantity for the exact price on the website? so that would mean that they lose money… Please explain it to me!

To make money in any business you need to resell your product at higher price than when you bought it.

You cant make money by having a loss. Resellers usually bought their item in bulk therefore its cheaper so they can make money by selling it at retail price.

How to make money on ebay free guide- Learn some of the tips that you can use to avoid making some mistakes! I know you’ve probably heard a lot of constant news about making money on eBay, and I just want to help you get started in a basic and easy to understand way.

I know you’ve probably heard a lot of constant news about making money on eBay, and I just want to help you get started in a basic and easy to understand way.

First of all, do not spend any money. Don’t spend money on any products that you are thinking will:

1) Help you start making money today
2) Any products that you think will "sell themselves"

When first starting your eBay career, you need to learn the basics on YOUR OWN. It may seem a little bit brutal, but I can assure that the graveyard is filled with people who just rushed into the business and had no idea what they were doing. To counter this, we need to not spend ANY money in the beginning and just get our feet wet with the entire business model.

There are a lot of free guides on eBay, so you don’t have to spend money on an eBay guide that promises "you’ll know how to make money on eBay in 30 minutes!"

How can I make money from ebay?

Friday, September 2nd, 2011

I’m only 16 but I want to make a little bit of extra money selling things on ebay. What is the best way to do this? I don’t mind investing money to start it off

The same way as any retail establishment does…buy low, and sell high. Your problem lies in figuring out where to buy stuff cheap, and what to buy, and what price to start the bidding on. You are also going to have problems because you’re a minor, and can’t legally make binding contracts.

Just because something is cheap, or is a "collector’s edition", doesn’t mean that you can turn it around and sell it for big bucks. You have to educate yourself about what you want to buy and sell, just like any other merchant. For instance, I know where to find decent used books that are likely to re-sell for a lot more than I paid for them. However, I know how to rate the condition of books, and I know which books are likely to re-sell and which are just going to never sell unless I price them at a dime or a quarter each.

How can I make good money on Ebay?

Friday, August 12th, 2011

I am currently on maternity leave and I would like to stay at home with my baby. I sold a few items on Ebay, but I only made about $600.00 in 3 months. I heard that we can buy wholesale from China or other places , but I do not know from where. If you have any good ideas on how to make money on Ebay. PLEASE let me know. THANKS

I had the same issue when we only had 2 kids. Working wasn’t paying me enough when all my pay went to day care, so I got into eBay 10yrs ago for the same reason, so I could stay home. It has been worth it!
You can start with stuff you would put in your own yard sale, as well as getting stuff at yard sales and flea markets. That is how we started out on eBay.
It grew from there.
We buy from wholesale dealer auctions. You may have to find out where there might be some in your area and you’ll need a tax ID for that.
You can buy some stuff wholesale online and have it delivered to your door and then sell it on eBay. We have done that too.
One good online wholesaler is BlueSkyImports.com. We have bought from them several times.
There are many other wholesalers online. Just do a little comparison shopping for the best deals.
Good luck!

The Way To Sell Bulk Wholesale Clothing On eBay

Saturday, August 6th, 2011

Did you know that on eBay, there’s a pair of women’s jeans sold each and every 22 seconds? Clothing has long been a hot seller on eBay, which is specifically why getting into sourcing bulk wholesale clothing is a viable business selection for many eBay sellers!

If you are new to selling on bulk wholesale clothing on eBay, here are a number of fast ideas to obtain your began:

Start off by performing a little analysis on what sells greatest on eBay. So many sellers are afraid of the words “market research” due to the fact they believe it’s hard and time consuming. The truth is, although it can take time, with out it, you’ll be able to quickly fall into the exact same circumstance that so many other sellers who stay away from this vital step.

If you include industry research inside your preliminary planning, you are giving your self a huge advantage over your competitors.

The best way to carry out industry research on eBay.

One of the best points you are able to do is search by way of eBay’s completed listings. This is one of the most effective methods you are able to research selling bulk wholesale clothing. Commence by clicking ‘Advanced search’ which is located subsequent to the search field on pretty significantly any eBay page. Then enter keywords describing the clothing items you might be seeking at selling. For instance, if I need to sell True Religion jeans, I would enter this as my search term. Then scroll down to the choice ‘Completed Listings’ and check the box subsequent to it. This tells eBay which you only want to view outcomes of listings that have already ended.

When the outcomes are generated, you must see the costs of the sold items represented in each green and red. Employing this color code, you can see which items sold (prices shown in green) and which listings ended with out being sold (shown in red).

Go via the results and count up the quantity of red results as well as the number of green, and compare them. If you will find more green results than red, you are onto a great factor! If not, attempt searching for some thing else. I look for items which have sold 60% of the time. This really is a good benchmark to work with if you are selling bulk wholesale clothing. I suggest which you go by way of as a lot of pages of results as you’ll be able to to obtain a far more accurate thought of how nicely the item sells. Some items could only show you 100 results, whereas other items including bulk wholesale clothing items may possibly give you say 5000.

You don’t should go through all 5000 results and count up the outcomes, but I would recommend attempting to collect information from at the least 200 listings.

Finding a wholesale clothing supplier

Once you have decided what to sell, it’s time to uncover a bulk wholesale clothing supplier. For numerous sellers, this might be a daunting job, as you’ll find so many diverse ones to choose from. I’ve dealt with my fair share of supplier over the years. Some worked out great, although other people turned out to be a disaster! So to assist you avoiding some of my pitfalls, here are a couple of things to appear out for when locating a new supplier:

Prevent suppliers of fakes. This really is actually essential. Back in my rookie days, I thought it would be an excellent concept to fool my buyers into thinking that the “Gucci” sunglasses I was selling were produced by he, himself, Paolo Gucci. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to sell even one pair, because the minute they arrived inside the nation, they were seized by Customs. Leaving me $500 out of pocket!

Yet another of my errors that you can discover from isn’t using safe payment options. I was ordering a bulk lot of stuffed wild animals, and dealing with a new supplier that I found by means of a Google search. Right after emailing my order via, the supplier insisted that I pay via Western Union. What I didn’t know in the time is that Western Union is one of the most unsafe payment techniques available!

When I received my order, numerous of the stuffed animals were damaged (some had no eyes which produced them look quite creepy!). I contacted the supplier, but he didn’t need to hear about it. When I requested a refund a number of times, he ignored me.

If I had paid by credit card, I could have requested that my bank perform a chargeback, which would get me all my money back.

I hope you’ll be able to understand from my amateur mistakes!
